The Turning Season surveys Emily Kam Kngwarray's career through paintings and textiles spanning 1981–1995, charting her evolution from batik to large-scale canvas work. Her abstractions map the anwerlarr yam's underground root systems and seasonal cycles of Alhalker Country through layered dots, sinuous lines, and color shifts tied to climate. The exhibition includes collaborative batik works by Judy Kngwarray Greenie, Audrey Kngwarray Morton, and Ruby Kngwarray Morton, all members of the pioneering Utopia Women's Batik Group.
